I have no idea what his logic was. Sometimes it's hard to follow the reasoning of serious crackpots. Most of his familial transfusions seem to be from his son though.

Hmm...ISTR that legend has it that Countess Bathory had ideas along those lines...

He’d better be having bloodlettings to match, or he’ll put himself in danger of tranfusional haemosiderosis.

A woman was hit by a snake that fell from the sky.

The snake itself, while badly frightened, did not attack her, it simply coiled around her and tried to escape.

It was a momentary reprieve - for the snake - from the real trouble in the scenario, the hawk that had been carrying it somewhere, which then swooped down and injured her trying to get its cargo back.

She was treated and released, and is physically healing but understandably not sleeping well after the incident.

Even if we were to charitably assume that what he's doing could in principal be developed into something actually effective, a sample size of one wouldn't allow much useful information to be gained.

As long as there are people with excess wealth and the fear of death, there will always be alchemists willing to sell them the latest version of the Elixir of Life- and the fact that every previous version of the Elixir has proven faulty is never any hindrance to the attempt to peddle a new one.

Speaking of vampires:

California prison officials on hook for claims by family of inmate killed by ‘vampire slasher’ - Courthouse News Service

"A federal judge on Monday advanced claims against California prison officials brought by the family of a California prison inmate who was killed in the showers by a convicted murderer who claims to be a 2,000-year-old vampire who drinks his victims’ blood."

British Museum sacks staff member after items vanish from collection

"Treasures including jewellery and gems kept in a storeroom were found to be missing, stolen or damaged, the London museum said."

"It said items including gold jewellery and gems of semi-precious stones and glass dating from 15th century BC to 19th century AD were missing, stolen or damaged."

That some of them were dangerous items of incredible occult power is carefully not mentioned, however.

This is how "Sandman" started, remember?

So, funny, real-life story. Happened today.

I almost called in sick to work. I'm not sick. But, I was dreaming that I was.

In my dream, someone reminded me that I needed to call in sick to work.

I woke up. I got out of bed and went to my phone. I noticed I hadn't plugged my phone in to charge, so did so and plugged my headset in. My finger was hovering over the callout number when my brain finally managed to wrest control from my stupidity.

"You're not sick, stupid! It was just a dream! Go back to bed!"

That's just what the puppeteers want.
