Cowboys and Aliens in GURPS
I am soon to be running a Cowboys and Aliens game wherein most non-terran aliens have some combination of the following traits...
- are physically fragile (low ST, low HP) - are slow witted (low IQ) - are slow moving (low DX, low Basic Move) - are extremely hidebound (little ability to act outside of training?) - are pathologically averse to violence (pacifism plus post combat shakes) ... other traits that might make sense for this trope? Since the player character will all be human, I'm not too concerned with specific disadvantages or point costs or whatever, so much as I am interested in ways to illustrate these traits to my players during the course of play. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone run a game featuring these sort of aliens? |

Re: Cowboys and Aliens in GURPS
I've done a similar (brief) campaign, though set in the 1930s. My aliens were all highly specialized, which meant that a non-combat caste was almost incapable of even contemplating combat. The leader species of the alien empire would incorporate conquered species and promote hyperspecialization toward whatever they believe them most useful for.
