Mark: “I know she said Casa Blanca but I heard Casa Bonita. I’d like to blame my ears, but that’s totally my brain.”

--

Raquel (OOC): “I see. You don’t want her to use her bees to pull your bad guys into the abyss.”

--

GM: “He dodges, skillfully.”
Raquel: “Yeah, but now that wall is glowing, so he’s highlighted.”
Raquel (OOC): “And, if anyone wants to attack that wall, they get a plus one.”

--

Melissa: “I’m pulling them into the a-bee-ys! She’s not making puns, she has a very specific accent.”

--

Daska (OOC): “That’s why we like Tabletop Simulator—it shows you what you’re doing, it doesn’t play the game for you.”
Dranara (OOC): “That’s what we have Mark for, right?”

--

Melissa: “Oooh, eighteen.”
GM: “Your bees fly into the wall of fire and are gone.”
Melissa: “That’s okay, I still have a Bee-Squad.”
Raquel (OOC): “Ba da bump ba-dump bump. Superman.”

--

GM (after consulting critical failure table): “Well, this guy is oblivious.”
Raquel (OOC): “Any successful active defenses he makes this turn are accidents.”

--

Raquel (OOC): “Ooooh. Right in the chutzpah.”

--

Raquel: “Well, he’s stunned for two-die seconds—that gives us two-die seconds to save Daska.”

--

GM: “You’re not sure. Daska just turned into a cat and had to be somewhere else right now.

--

Raquel: “Once again, cheerleading saved my life.”

--

Raquel: “Raquel is following [Daska] to keep Seven out of trouble.”
Daska: “Yes, Fireball, I understand.”

(Daska’s player plays Seven-Shadow in that game.)

Shadowrun. The pc are storming a street gangs HQ. Lot of explosions, gun shots, screaming.

GM: "They retreated and seem to regroup. To be fair, they never thought that somebody would that stupid."

Player: "The correct word is daring."

Bobb: "On a [horror] scale of one to ten, It's gone from a seven to a six-and-a-half?"
Chaos: "It's gone from a nine to a six."
Bobb: "That's not a nine."
Chaos: "It is to me."
Bobb: "You haven't spent much time on the internet, have you?"

--

Raquel: "I'll start heaping pistachio ice cream on [the searing hot sword]. No one like pistachio."

--

Raquel: "Technically, I wouldn't have gotten seared, the force field would have protected me."
GM: "Nope, it doesn't protect against 'stupid.'"

--

Raquel: "Do they make their fright check?"
GM: "I don't think that has a fright check component."
Raquel: "No, but now being on fire does."

--

(After being targeted by enemy snipers and taken down)
Raquel: "Well, let's be fair--they are targeting the right person."
GM: "Yeah, they got the memo."

--

(After a critical failure using a sword she was only using at default.)
Dranara: "Okay. Mental note: GM is full of [poop]. Listen to Raquel."

--

Melissa: "I'll stab you with an ep-bee-pen."
Daska: "She bee-fibrulates you."

--

Raquel: "If I never see lava again . . .."

--

GM: "Har'ron will punch these guys. Left hand . . .."
Raquel (OOC): "Left hand, face! Right hand, groin!"
<beat>
Raquel (OOC): "Hitting them so hard it is actually Twister?"
GM: "Pretty much."

Stolas: "Okay, first, get a bag of salt."
Keith: "Done. Don't ask me to drink this."
<beat>
Stolas: "Guess again."
(Game collapses into laughter)

--

SHRIMP: "With my last, non-organic breath, I curse you."

--

Marigold: "I'm going to kick the guy and shout: 'THIS IS FALLOUT!'"
GM: "Okay, your TN is 5 for an unarmed attack."
Marigold: "I'll spend an AP and buy an extra [D20]. And I got a 5! I'll spend the last two AP in the pool to buy two more damage dice."
[Proceeds to roll 0 damage on four dice of damage.]
Marigold: "[expletives deleted]! I'll spend a point of luck to re-roll three of them!"
[re-rolls three dice and gets one point of damage.]
GM: (Laughing uncontrollably). "Yep. It's Fallout, 1 point of damage on seven dice!"

(Fallout Damage dice are six-sided, 1, 5, and 6, are worth one point of damage, and 2 is worth 2 points of damage. They're special "challenge dice" in the Modiphius 2d20 system.)

Sounds like a fair exchange rate. Children are too small to do any useful work yet, and even if you're a Gourmand there's not enough there for more than one meal...

Ironically, they're both PCs. SHRIMP just doesn't value human life.
