Default Sorcery - Caster Only Buffs

Hello hive mind,

I was wondering if there is a canonical value for a beneficial Affliction with "Accessibility, Caster Only" for use with Sorcery style buffs.

Pyramid 3-91, page 33, has the sorcery spell Dueling Shield, which indicates that Accessibility: Self Only on an affliction is -50%, while Power Ups 8, page 5 indicates that "Accessibility: One Person Only" is a -80% limitation. Note: During a conversation with Christopher Rice (the author of that article) on the GURPS discord, he noted that he'd probably be more inclined towards the -80% version these days. So either -50% or -80%, depending on which source you consider 'more' primary/relevant.

Were I GM, my inclination would be more toward -50% than -80% - yes, Self Only works on just as many potential targets (just one) as One Person Only, but Self is always (absent some weird things going on, which are certainly possible in GURPS) available, whereas that One Person may not be. I might treat One Person Only similarly if the One Person is an attached Always Available Ally (one who's just around as often as other PC's should use the normal -80%).

If a GM opted to go with -80%, however, I wouldn't object.

I went through this thought process pretty much verbatim after reading the first reply!
