Werewolves in this world are Cursed beings, with no control (at first) over the horrible monster they turn into every full moon.

Nevertheless, certain powers and abilities come with the curse, and a werewolf has certain advantages over a humans throughout the month.

Werewolf (75)

Attributes: Ht +2 (20), Per +2 (10)

Advantages: Striking ST +2 (10), Lifting ST +2 (6), Animal Instincts +2 (20), Discriminatory Smell (15), Hard to Kill +2 [10], Regular Regeneration (Bane, Silver -5%)) (24)
Disadvantageous Altered Form (Rare Trigger, Full Moon [-5], Exploitable, 300 point difference [+15]) [10]*

Disadvantages: Frightens Animals (-10)**, Lunacy (-10), one of Secret (Man-Killing Monster) (-30) or Enemy (Large Group, 12 or less, Monster Community and Monster Hunters) (-30)

*See GURPS Horror for the rules for Disadvantageous Altered Forms
**An exception to this is canines who believe themselves to be part of your "pack"--if you paid points (not just money) for an animal as an Ally or Pet, they won't be frightened of you.

^Werewolf Form:
This is the giant, unstoppable, ravaging beast you become on the nights of the full moon. It is a mindless killing machine, always hungry and a mortal danger to the people you love most. A true werewolf on the night of the full moon is a force feared even by the other creatures of the night.
It represents the animal self and some of your darkest most secret urges may be played out in the night by the monster that lives inside you, but it will not reliably kill your enemies instead of your friends. This form is controlled by the GM.

Attributes: IQ-4 (-80), Will +4 (20), Per +8 (40), ST +10 (No Fine Manipulators -40%) (60), DX +3 (No Fine Manipulators -40%) (36), HT +4 [40], [94]

Advantages:
Animal Instincts +3 [30], Striking ST +6 (Single Attack only: Bite -60%) [12], Sharp Teeth [1], +4 Night Vision [4], Extra Move 2 [10], Enhanced Move 1 [20], Injury Tolerance (1/4 Damage, Achilles Heel: Silver -10%) [90], Magical Resistance +4 [8], Very Fast Regeneration (Bane, Silver -5%) [95], Fur [1], DR 3 (Tough Skin -40%) [9], Born Biter (SM+1) [0], Unkillable 2 (Achilles Heel: Silver -10%) (90), Terror (-2 to Fright Check, Always On -20%) (40), Penetrating Call [1] [375]

Disadvantages:

Appearance: Monstrous [-20], Bestial [-15], Bloodlust [-10], Berserk [-15], Frightens Animals [-10], Uncontrollable Appetite: Human Flesh [-15], Infectious Attack [-5], Quadruped [-35], Cannot Speak [-15]

Form Cost: 362

Werewolf Power-Ups

Through meditation, study, and mental effort, most people cursed with lycanthropy can begin to exert some control over the beast within them. Some, like the berserkrs and ulfhednar of the ancient Norse and Germanic people, learn to Harness the Beast. They learn how to call upon the beast to grant them some of its powers while they're still in their human form. Others learn to Tame the Beast. They suppress the darkness in themselves to prevent it from harming others. Some learn to Become the Beast, managing to change their shape into wolf-like forms. These forms are not quite as potent as a true werewolf, but they are formidable monsters indeed. And others, usually those who are less afraid of their darker, more violent natures, decide to Release the Beast, allowing it greater and greater power in their lives until, eventually, they are one and the same.

Both Tame the Beast and Release the Beast offer pathways to gaining control over your werewolf form. Tame the Beast does so by bringing the Beast into better alignment with the human mind, Release the Beast does so by bringing the human mind into alignment with the Beast.

Harness The Beast:
You have managed to access some of the powers of the werewolf in your human form.

These Power-Ups can be purchased one at a time in any order, unless otherwise specified.

Strength of the Beast [25]
Werewolves are already unnaturally strong for their size, but you're able to tap into some of the raw power and endurance of the beast.

Striking ST +2 [10] Lifting ST +2 [6], Energy Reserve 3 (Extra Effort (or Power Blow) Only -10%) [8], Unusual Training (May buy Power Blow without Trained by a Master or Weapon Master) [1]

The Senses of the Beast [25]
You've learned how harness the beast’s senses and how to take advantage of them in a way that a mindless beast never would. These advantages are retained in all altered forms.

Add Emotion Sense (+50%) and Profiling (+50%) to Discriminatory Smell [15] Acute Hearing +2 [4], Acute Smell +2 [4], and Night Vision +2 [2].

Lycanthropic Regeneration [25]
You heal at a much faster rate in your human form!

Remove Regular Regeneration [-24] and replace with Fast Regeneration (Bane: Silver -5%) [48]. Your werewolf form’s total is now 276, Ignore the difference in cost for your Disadvantageous Altered Form.
NOTE: Altered Forms (such as those available from Become the Beast) that already include Fast Regeneration cost 22 points less.

Full Lycanthropic Regeneration [75]
Remove Regular Regeneration [-24] and Replace with Very Fast Regeneration (Bane: Silver -5%) [95] and Extra Hit Points +5 (Massless +0%) [10]. Your Werewolf Form is now worth only 226, so the Disadvantageous Altered Form is now worth 5 instead of 10. [-5]
NOTE: Altered Forms that already include Fast Regeneration cost 22 points less.

Bestial Presence [25]
When you make eye-contact with someone, you may choose to show them a bit of the ravening beast in your soul, triggering humanities natural fear of the werewolf.
Terror (Active -0%, Vision Based -20%) [24], Fearsome Stare [1]. Your werewolf form replaces Terror and retains Fearsome Stare, so it's total is 276, Ignore the difference in cost for your Disadvantageous Altered Form.
NOTE: Altered forms that already include Terror replace this advantage and cost 22 points less.

Animal Magnetism [25]
You exude a primal musk that people who might be attracted to you find irresistible, unfortunately it also makes people who might see you as a sexual rival instinctively dislike you.
Affliction 1 (HT; Lecherousness (12), +15%; Always On -20%, Accessibility, Only on those attracted to your gender, -20%; Area Effect 1, +50%; Emanation, -20%; Scent-Based, +150%) [16], Charisma +3 (Accessibility, Only those attracted to your gender, -20%, Scent Based -20%) [9].

NOTE: You may retain these advantages with the Primal Human altered form, or with the Lupine 1 Altered from (provided you've bought-off Frightens Animals) in which case it effects canines and lupines rather than humans. All other forms remove these advantages and cost 22 points less.

Werewolf Invulnerability [50]

Add Injury Tolerance (1/2 Damage, Achilles Heel Silver -10%) [45], DR 2 (Tough Skin -40%) [6]. Your Werewolf form replaces both of these advantages and is now worth only 249 so Disadvantageous Altered Form is worth 8 instead of 10. [-2]
Note: The Cost of Altered Forms that already include these Advantages cost 46 points less.

Werewolf Invulnerability 2 [75]

Add Injury Tolerance (1/3 Damage, Achilles Heel Silver -10%) [68], DR 2 (Tough Skin -40%) [6], Temperature Tolerance 1 [1]

Werewolf Invulnerability 3 [100]
Add Injury Tolerance (1/4 Damage, Achilles Heel: Silver -10%) [90], DR 3 (Tough Skin -40%) [9], Temperature Tolerance 1 [1]

Become The Beast Part 1:Humanoid Transformations

You can change into an intermediate Wolf-Man Form, and you don't need to wait until the full-moon to do it.

The GM should always allow you to sell back one level in order to buy the next one (e.g. if you have Humanoid Transformation 1 [25] and you want to buy Humanoid Transformation 2 [50], you merely have to pay the difference of 25 points, if you have Humanoid Transformation 3 and want to buy Humanoid Transformation 4, you pay 75 points.

Level 1: Primal Man [25]

You can partially transform into a stronger, hairier, humanoid. In this form you have a pronounced brow-ridge, excess hair, protruding teeth, and bulging muscles. This isn't a very powerful form, but it makes up for it by lacking most of the disadvantages of other forms, you can even interact with other people without arousing too much suspicion, though you're ugly enough to be noticeable.

Altered Form (Only at Night -20% [12], 14 point form [13]) 25
Form: IQ -1 [-20], ST+2 [20], HT +1 [10], Striking ST+2 [10], Lifting ST +2 [6], Will +1 [5], Per +2 [10], Sharp Teeth [1], +2 Night Vision [2], Extra Move [5], Appearance: Hideous [-15], Bloodlust [-10], Stress Atavism [-10]

Level 2 Wolf-Man [50]
This form resembles The Wolf-Man from Universal pictures—still humanoid in shape but hirasute with teeth and claws.
Altered Form (Only at Night -20%, [12] 42 point form [38]) [50]
Form: IQ -2 (-40) ST+3 [30], HT +1 [10], Striking ST+2 [10], Lifting ST +2 [6], Striking ST 1 (One Attack Only: Bite -60%) [2], DR 1 (Tough Skin -40%) [3], Will + 2 [10], Per +3 [15], Animal Instincts +1 [10], Sharp Teeth [1], Sharp Claws [5], +2 Night Vision [2], Extra Move [5], Fast Regeneration (Bane, Silver -5%) (48), Fur [1], DR 1 (Tough Skin -40%) [3], Appearance: Monstrous [-20], Bloodlust [-10], Infectious Attack [-5], Stress Atavism [-10] Disturbing Voice [-10] Remove Regular Regeneration [-24]

Form: IQ -3 (-60), ST+4 [40] DX +1 [20], HT +1 [10], Will+3 [+15], +5 Per [+25], Striking ST+1 [10], Lifting ST +2 [6], Striking ST +3 (Single Attack only: Bite -60%) [6], Sharp Teeth [1], +2 levels of Animal Instincts [20] Sharp Claws [5], +3 Night Vision [3], Extra Move [5], Enhanced Move 1/2 [10], Fast Regeneration (Bane, Silver -5%) (48), Fur [1], DR 3 (Tough Skin -40%) [9], Born Biter [0], Appearance: Monstrous [-20], Berserk [-15], Bestial [-15], Bloodlust [-10], Cannot Speak [-15], Infectious Attack [-5], Remove Regular Regeneration [-24]

Level 4 Walking Were-wolf [150]

Become the Beast General Upgrades:

Additional Forms (12 per additional form)

If you wish to be able to transform into more than one of these forms, pay the full cost for the most expensive form and 12 points for each additional form. You can use this to buy both a humanoid transformation and a lupine transformation.

Day-Shifting (3 points per form)

If you wish to be able to transform during the day, the cost is simply 3 points per form.

Tame the Beast:

You've learned how to suppress the beast within and exert some control over its dark and dangerous urges.

Resist the Change [25]
You can prevent yourself from changing into your werewolf form on the night of a full moon by staying awake and spending the night in mediation. In the process, you've had to learn to strengthen your mind and body against outside influences. You retain these advantages in all your forms.
Remove Lunacy [10], Add Mitigator: Meditation (Monthly Treatment: Meditation or Autohypnosis Roll -70%) to Disadvantageous Altered Form, reducing the cost of that disadvantage to -2 (does not affect the positive cost of exploitable) [3], Will +2 [10], Unusual Training (Mental Strength) [1]
Note, since resisting the change is optional, the ability to exploit the change still exists, so you must still pay the positive cost of your disadvantageous Alternate Form.

Calm the Inner Beast [25]
You've managed to calm the beast within yourself, removing some of its desire to kill, and in the process, you've developed a strong sympathy with beasts outside yourself. You retain your advantages in all your altered forms.
Buy off Frightens Animals [10], Remove Bloodlust and Uncontrollable Appetite from Werewolf form (Changes cost of Disadvantageous Altered Form to 11) [2], add Good with Dogs (and Wolves) [1], Call of the Wild [1], Animal Empathy +1 [5], Animal Friend +1 [5]

Calm the Outer Beast [25]
Prerequisite: Calm the Inner Beast
Your control over your own inner beast has given you remarkable insights into all wild animals, especially natural predators.

An additional +1 to Animal Friend [5], Mind Control (Only on Land Predators -40%, Emotion Control -50%) [10], Speak with Animals (Canines -60%) [10]

Optional Trait: Werewolves with Calm the Outer Beast who happen to live near the natural territory of wolves or other wild or stray dogs will often be seen as their pack leader. In such cases they should buy Ally Group to reflect that.

The Mind Behind the Eyes [Varies]
Prerequisite: Calm the Inner Beast, and at least one advantageous Altered form (from Become the Beast, One with the Wolf, or One with the Beast)

You manage to retain some of your human intelligence when you shape-shift.

Level 1, [9]
Adds +1 IQ, -1 Will, -1 Per to all your advantageous Altered Form Templates with Taboo Trait (Altered Form IQ cannot be higher than Base Form IQ).

Level 2, [+9]
Prerequisite: The Mind Behind the Eyes level 1.
Removes Stress Atavism from any Altered Forms that have it.

Level 3, [+9]
Prerequisite: Level 2
Adds an additional +1 IQ, -1 Will, -1 Per to all your advantageous Altered Form Templates.

Level 4 [+5]
Prerequisite: Level 3 and your most expensive form is neither Primal Man, nor Wolf-Man.
Remove Bestial from all your advantageous Altered Form Templates. [Note on Pricing: Since your most powerful form doesn't have Stress Atavism, you no longer have to pay for No Stress Atavism.]

Level 5 [+9]
Prerequisite: Level 4
Adds an additional +1 IQ, -1 Will, -1 Per to all your advantageous Altered Form Templates.

One with the Wolf [261]
Prerequisite: Calm the Inner Beast, and level 5 of The Mind Behind the Eyes
Your werewolf is no longer a monster, so it is now under your control as a PC.
Remove Disadvantageous Altered Form [-10], Add Altered Form (Uncontrollable Trigger: Full Moon -10%, Uncontrollable Only -30%, and Usable Once Per Night -40% [1], 300 point Altered Form [270]

Call the Wolf [14]
Prerequisite: One with the Wolf and Resist the Change.
Due to the tremendous control you're able to exert over your inner beast, you can change into a werewolf whenever you want, not just on the night of the full moon, and can dismiss it just as easily. This applies to all your weaker forms as well.

Remove all limitations from Altered Form.

Release the Beast
Those people who are willing to embrace the dark, violent, and hungry nature of the beast within eventually find they can become one with the monster. These people become the most powerful werewolves, but the price is high. Most become monsters themselves, whether they learn to control the beast or the beast learns to control them is an open question.

Berserker Rage [25]
Some folklorists believe that legends of the Norse berserkers may have inspired the werewolf legend. It is because of people like you that the reverse is true. By concentrating, you can enter a trance by which you gain some of the strength and resistance of the Werewolf, while also taking on some of its boundless rage. These advantages are retained in all altered forms.

Striking ST +5 (Only while Berserk -10%) 23, Lifting ST +5 (Only while Berserk -10%) [14], DR 1 (Tough Skin -40%) [3]
Berserk (Battle Rage +50%) [-15]

Free of the Moon [25]
You still must transform on the night of the full moon, but now you can also choose to transform on any night. Once you transform, you'll remain in that form until sunrise. You still don't have control over the beast, and you can't protect your allies from its wrath.

Replace Disadvantageous Altered Form [-10] with Disadvantageous Altered From (Trigger: Full Moon (Rare) [-5], Exploitable (At Night, Very Common) 300-point form [60]) [55], add Blood Lust [-10], Supernatural Features (Hirsute, Mono-Brow, Fur under skin (visible when cut)) [-5]

One with the Beast [205]
Prerequisite: Berserker Rage and Free of the Moon.

Werewolves willing to completely give in to the wolf’s unnatural urges can actually gain control over their wolf. It is no longer an enemy, but a part of yourself able to make choices that further your ends and spare your allies (to the extent that your disadvantages allow it). The prices of this, however, is that you are never free of the wolf’s hunger and you're prone to losing control.

Remove Disadvantageous Altered Form [-50] Add Altered Form (Only at Night -20%, Uncontrollable Trigger: Full Moon, Occasional -10% [10], 300 point form [270] [280], and Uncontrollable Appetite: Human Flesh [-15], Stress Atavism [-10]
