It's a public gate station, though, no? And with low cost and high traffic, right?
Do you think a Ward will signal hostile intent for anyone just doing reconnaissance? Would you put Wards before letting people through the gates, and stop (or interrogate?) anyone who the Ward says has hostile intent, before they go through the gates? Even if you did do that, wouldn't a hostile agency be able to interview non-hostile tourists or scholars who had used the public gate stations, to find out where the gate network leads, without having to send anyone through the gates? |

Yeah, at which point, you may start getting false positives from travelers who become emotionally hostile due to your security. ;-)
