My cousin would come over to my house and play Car Wars on the Apple ][c. The low res adventure of building your car with then limited amounts of customization (no dozens of different weapons).
But it was still fun and captivated my teenage self.
Thank you Steve.

Sounds good! I hope SJ Games comes out with a computer version of Car Wars soon!

Of course you are right. There was only a few weapons and mods you could make to the car.
Yes, it was called Autoduel and it came in a box with a manual and a 5.25 inch disc (or two).

I have not played Car Wars nor have I any idea of how it plays by just googling. Is the way it plays supposed to be similar to Hot Wheels, Burnout, or Twisted Metal?

Would love to see something similar to the MegaMek emulator that is used to play BattleTech.

So Autoduel is on W23. Has anyone tried this? How does it run on W10?

Agreed. A "driving sim" has its charms, but it isn't _CW_.
