Wandering Monster+Charm+Pollymorph Potion

If a Wizard wants to Charm the only monster in a combat can you play a Wandering Monster to attack him even if he charms the first monster?
And what about Pollymorph Potion?
We just started playing again after some time and I'm a little rusty on my rulings.

The Charm spell and Pollymorph remove the monster from combat. Since the July 2018 Update, removing the only monster ends the combat immediately, so Wandering Monster could not be played.
