We have a "Wizard Spell Reference Booklet.pdf" as part of the package we received. There is no corresponding tool for Talents included.

Will there be a "Character Talent Reference Booklet.pdf" available for use at the gaming table?

The spells listed in the WSRB are a subset of the ITL spell list and with different descriptions.

For example:

WSRB page 5:
Spell Shield (T): Prevents any spells (hostile or otherwise) from being cast
on its subject – that is, protects against effects of all Special, Missile, and
Thrown spells. Does not affect spells already cast. Does not protect against
ordinary physical force, including damage done by created beings or things,
damage done by weapons (ordinary, magical, or staffs)

ITL page 27:
Spell Shield (T): Prevents any spells (hostile or otherwise)
from being cast on its subject – that is, protects against
effects of all Special, Missile, and Thrown spells, and
the occult damage from a staff.

One version protects against Staff attacks and the other doesn't.

Pinning this on my list while waiting for the official FAQ: http://www.hcobb.com/tft/house_rules.html#Spells

I assume it's limited/different and only spells because it's like the Spell Booklet we had in old TFT, and SJ is reprising the old product line. i.e. it is the basic Wizard spell reference.

Yes it is the old Basic Wizard spell reference.

Wondering why we don't have something like it for Basic Melee talents

This is because the Melee warriors are assumed to only know the IQ 7 weapons talents.

Adding another note to my House Rules to cover the conversion.
