Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
The book says I can read and write any language, if it's something invented or encrypted it doesn't matter, I can read it.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
(OC: Alright.)
The writing is in Common, but is using Thieves' Cant. Gathika's spell does not help that much, but she can comprehend what was literally written on the wall. The drawing is a map that was chalked onto the wall, with annotations and labels. There's a label "C", a label "K", a label "G?", a label "B", a label "graves", a label "Q", a label "L", a label "S" and a final label "T?", all spread out across the map.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
Bain takes note of Gathika's remarks, and brings his mapping tools out; He is diligent with the work:
Alright, let's check this. One mark here, and another over there... ... and makes the Navigation* (15) 13 and Cartography (12+1) 10 checks. *I spent 1 CP in navigation, also employed luck for the roll.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
Bain copies the map on the wall and studies it. He suddenly realises what it is a vague approximation of - the region. The scale is uncertain, yes, but the general shape of the land comes through enough. Judging by the rivers, "K" is Starhold Keep, and "C" is the Caves he is in now. "Q" and "graves" are very near the Caves. "L" is in the wilderness (the swamp, probably), as is "S" (the woods?). "T?" is between the Caves and the Keep, somewhere just off the trade road. "B" is further into the wilderness. "G?" looks like...he is not quite sure (in the mountains), but not at the Caves.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
Vic uses scrounging rolled 9/15 to find valuable items in the room.
Vic speaks, I propose going back to town for now, to consider better our options. |

All Vic can find is the chest out in plain sight.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
Sounds good, we should take the chest with us and leave.
Could you load it in the cart? If the party agrees, Bain will try to set up a trap (12) 16 at the chamber’s entrance (after leaving the room). Bain also checks the chest for traps (13) 8.

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
Bain can't set up his own trap, but he does figure out the chest has a trap on it.
(OC: Disarm it by making a DX-based Traps roll.)

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! IC
This chest has a trap, let’s be careful...
Bain disarms the trap, DX-based traps (15) 5, critical success! Hide: 3D6 → 5(1 +3 +1)
