Ear protection and/or suppressors should help with the latter (although I believe suppressors typically add even more Bulk to pistol-length barrels, and you'll also need the weapon specifically designed for suppressor use so you don't wind up with blowing hot gas in your face, which from what I understand can be an issue with suppressors). Of course, with the pistol basically being attached to your skull via the teeth, maybe that won't actually help - rather than the vibrations being transmitted through the air to your inner ears, they can just travel through your skull. So whatever shock mitigation you're using to avoid knocking your teeth out will need to double as sound dampening, although I believe having the former pretty much automatically results in the latter. And you'll still need the ear protection and/or suppressor, the sound-dampening stock only takes care of your skull being used to transmit the boom to your ears, the air is still a viable medium. Restricting yourself to subsonic ammunition will also help.
