I would go through and atomize those parts and turn them into general advantages and disadvantages that are priced based on their utility rather than as being part of a package.
That makes a lot of sense - the modular approach to the advantageous and disadvantageous components of SM would make things a lot easier.

And I do love that Rules Nugget about ST cost progression! It removes the need for Super-Effort (I think) and that Size limitation on ST thing (although it'd still be a useful limitation to allow for characters with Shrinking or Growth).

I've been working on breaking down all the traits into smaller pieces that can't be broken down any further, such as with the attributes. I'm hoping this will reveal some of the hidden errors in the rules that make it so difficult to model large ships.

Since there always seems to be so much interest, I'll make a new thread when I get around to size modifiers.

I've repriced almost all of the leveled traits along those same lines. I discussed that in this thread. I still don't think even that goes far enough, though. I've been thinking about how we need to price concepts rather than numbers. Status 6 and Status 7 are much more different conceptually than is represented by those numbers. I think they need to be priced by concept rather than number.

Something similar might apply with size modifiers. There might be hidden concepts in there that we're not seeing because we're only looking at the numbers.
