I'm looking forward to the hardback copy. There's a space on my shelf beside Horror that would be a perfect fit.

I will still be picking up the pdf as well.

Well, I'm GMing a zombie apocalypse game in GURPS so this could be handy and I love anything about zombies.

That's the key piques for me. But $20... I was going to ask for more convincing until I realised the "twenty" thing was the mental block; it's really only £13...{edit £12.73} and I still haven't finished reading Technical Grappling!
Okay, spending spree it is... strobe torch, chain T and Zombies!
edit: re page numbering - the error appears in my web browser but when I save and open with Foxit everything is perfect. Web-browsers just can't handle the quality:)

I aimed to support "zombies as just other monsters" (as in Dungeon Fantasy (. . .)
Myself not being a fan of zombies in particular, I think these contents in several senses look pretty generic and useful for many game scenarios: hordes can be compossed of Dungeon Fantasy "fodder monsters", angry mobs of citizens . . .

Congrats!

Just bought and downloaded the PDF. I might have a use for it in my new game.

I'm only up to page 58, but I'm definitely getting my money's worth. I will want a hard copy for sure :)

I see we have an official clarification in print on the interaction between Bad Temper and Berserk. Nice, and as I suspected. I love the vicious enhancement, too. I also like the examples for Bestial behavior.

Now back to reading...

Edit: Ah, resolution for certain piles of redundant social or mental disads. Yay!

I bought and have skimmed GURPS Zombies and I like the style of how it was written. It gives explanation as to how zombies function with some history, myth, books and film. It seems to delve into the zombie genre and gives advice on how to use them in a game. That is what I wish the the DF series had more of, things like here is the concept of how a spell functions, or different ideas of what elves are from Tolkien to myths and so on. More of an exploration of what Dungeon fantasy is and where the various concepts and ideas came from because afterall DF is just a bunch of cool stuff thrown together so it would be useful to know where the ideas came from and also variations from different myths or authors or even video games.

Back to GURPS Zombies I feel it is a good book so far and I like it.

Hmm, GURPS Clade books... I think I like that idea. Saw something recently showing comparative heights for human, elf and dwarf - short elves? I always picture them as more like Spock, kindof H+ but way^/-1 far post apoc fantasy...
But who could write such a book?

I started writing a comment of how much I liked it and it turned into a post for my blog.

Basically I wasn't even looking forward to the book that much but I jumped on it the day it came out and so far I love it. (I think zombie fiction is beginning to get played out seeing how Netflix has a zombie-themed romance.) It'll help a planned Diablo-inspired game which itself might be replaced by a zompocalypse game.

Also, the blog entry jokes about Kromm's love of Left 4 Dead and how that shows up in the book.
