Re: Giant Super Fight
What point level/power scale are the PCs?
I'd try to force the pc's to react to the environment rather than being allowed to spend all their time attacking the giant with full force. Split up the group, introduce new challenges, what ever it takes to keep it from boiling down to a simple game of "how many rounds does it take to eat up 1000 hit points?" Buildings start to collapse, the heroes have to try to rescue the people inside, right? The giant rips up a piece of train track, and now the El is approaching at high speeds, what about those innocents? And is that Captain Despicable taking advantage of the chaos to rob a bank? "Hold your fire! That's my dependent he's got in his breast pocket!" Et cetera...

Re: Giant Super Fight
Thanks for the advice. It ran pretty well. The Giant lasted about eight rounds. We had everything from PCs swinging on his hair to avoid getting crushed by a swatting hand to my Superman type holding up a building while innocents were saved to my PC with a stunning attack using it on the giant's arm to force him to drop his club. Oh, and the giant was screaming in ancient Norse the whole time. Turns out the volcano that erupted in Iceland was a signal of the return of Surtr who brought some giants with him. :)
Thanks again. ThaDium. P.S. Gold & Appel Inc: I shall remain awesome. |
