cancel someone else's curse?

I understand that someone else could cancel a curse that I've gotten stuck with. But can they do that without my permission?

DS did that this evening so that he could get a Fairy Dust card. But I didn't want him to have the card, so I wanted to keep the curse. Who was right?

He was right. The player that cursed you certainly didn't ask your permission first. And the Wishing Ring or whichever other curse cancelling card played was against the curse played by that player, so even though you were the curses target, you weren't directly involved in the exchange.

You were basically an innocent bystander in the middle of a food fight. Someone just happened to catch the cupcake that was hurtling toward your face. Nothing bad happened to you, and now they've got a delicious cupcake to enjoy.
