Blog - One Shot Adventures - New Posts
Hey all, I started a new blog recently that collects all of the one-shot adventures (almost always GURPS!) I run at conventions, along with the design thinking behind them:
One Shot Adventures The goal of my blog is to make it super easy for GMs to run a single-session GURPS adventure for their friends. All my adventures include pregenerated characters and (usually) fancy handouts. This month, the adventure is: The Strange Sunken Fate of Karl Heinrich - a Horror adventure that is a sequel to Lovecraft's short story, "The Temple". Taking place in 1937, twenty years after an Imperial German U-boat vanished under mysterious circumstances, the PCs are on an expedition to discover its wreckage. Of course, like all Cthulhu-inspired adventures, things go south fast... There are also more adventures, many of which cover some of GURPS' more unusual genres:
I've got more coming too -- enjoy! -J.C. |

These are great! Very well-written and complete, love the visual design of each as well as the stylized pregen character sheets. The handouts in particular are fantastic. Thanks for posting them, I have the feeling I'll be using these later.

I've read through The Black Mine of Teihiihan & The Cold Bounty, so far. These are really good one-shots, and the quality is excellent. I really like the 'design notes' you give on the adventures too. I've bookmarked your blog and will keep an eye out for more. ;)

Re: Blog - One Shot Adventures - New Posts
This month on the blog, the popularity of horror adventures at recent conventions inspired me to take a trip to the terrifying, dying days of Imperial Rome in Feast of Odoacer. On the eve of the fall of Ravenna, the PCs are tasked by their king to undergo one last, desperate mission in the hope that it will save the city from ruin. Soon they'll find themselves tangled in the plots of a mad monk, insidious spies, and terrifying cultists.
The goal of my blog is to make it super easy for GMs to run a single-session GURPS adventure for their friends. All my adventures include pregenerated characters and (usually) fancy handouts. There are more adventures on 1shotadventures, many of which cover some of GURPS' more unusual genres: GURPS Horror - The Strange & Sunken Fate of Karl Heinrich GURPS Arabian Nights - The Third Hall of Uzrah GURPS Greece - The Honey Tree of Pelion GURPS Harry Potter - The Warlock's Tunnel GURPS Old West Horror - The Black Mine of Teihiihan GURPS Fantasy - The Cold Bounty Special thanks to the folks on this forum who helped me with 5th century Roman equipment, too. Enjoy! |

Re: Blog - One Shot Adventures - New Posts
I was reading through the pregens section of The Warlock's Tunnel. I noticed that Kyle George Greyfell has the same "Character Notes" section as Fiona Abbot. Could you please put up Kyle's bio?
