Default So - Russia?

Hallo,

I was always a little disappointed that there is so little info on Russia in the setting - except for the core rules and Fifth Wave, I found nothing.

Which is a little bit surprising because in real life, Russia is on of the leading space nations that sends people into space each year. IMO, there should be more Russian cosmonauts, space stations and outposts in the setting.

Has anybody done something like this?

I think the assumption was that Russia would continue its slide into poverty and incoherence. The rise of Putin (or a Putin-like figure) wasn't something that could be foretold when THS was written in 2000-2001.

Reminding us again that THS is not, was not intended to be, and should not be interpreted as any kind of real world prognostication; nor should it be held to that standard any more than, say, Twilight 2000 (either version of the timeline therein).

There's the former Russian space station in High Frontier, IIRC.
