Exercise T variant
Fellow citizens of the Ogreverse, I submit for your gaming pleasure a variant my son and I have developed for the "Exercise T" scenario (which you can read here: http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=2821).
We call it the Superheavy Variant. You play the advanced (3 wave) scenario on the crater map. Instead of a Mark III, each player receives 5 Superheavies as the second wave. Also, once any player has this second wave; then any player in sole control of the command post can opt to obtain a superheavy tank as a reinforcement instead of a randomly-rolled 3-of-a-kind. This places the actual ogre action toward the end of the game, while introducing a little more maneuvering in the mid-game. My son and I plan to go public with this variant at GMX ("Geek Media Expo") Nashville this Friday night, where we are hosting an Ogre game. This scenario will be it. |

Re: Exercise T variant
Are you using 13.07 partial damage to superheavies?

Re: Exercise T variant
Scott,
We discussed the idea, but thought it might be too much to ask of con-goers to manage 5 or more SHVY record sheets. (We don't know if we will have veterans, newcomers, or both.) I agree that it would make the scenario more interesting for veteran players. Michael Last edited by TankCommander79; 10-20-2014 at 04:38 PM. |

Re: Exercise T variant
Well in theory it would be 3-4, if you take into account the increased cost of SHVY from 13.07
