The group can hear people or other creatures walking down the corridor outside the current room. The approaching entities will arrive soon.

Upon noticing the incoming enemy, Bain signals the team to take battle formation, and whispers: I believe we must have you two at the front (Vicious, Telrith) and then Mihrimah and I will support you from behind. Gathika would be the last one in the bracket; and let’s leave some room to maneuver. Bain readies his bow and takes a defensive stance.

... then he asks the magical kitty: Gathika, have the light of the ancients burn bright about the place and blind the monsters, once more. We’ll prepare ourselves for this...

Vic forms up besides Telrith, getting ready to form a WALL in order to tank the attacks.

Telrith walks with his axe out most the time: he awaits the arrival of the new foes.

In the magically lit room, the party takes up positions.

The adventurers out in front can hear people steeping closer.

Then, they can see two humans wearing full-face leather helmets peeking into the room from the doorway - one on each side, apparently having come from both ends of the corridor outside.

They do not attack right away, or call out to the adventurers. They might be signaling with their hands to others...

Bain recognizes the men and whispers, it's them! The bandits! Immediately delivering a volley of arrows; one of the men is hit, the second attack stopped at readying the arrow.
