If moving two yards forward would get them flanked by the undead in the side tunnel, Telrith will shout for everyone to start moving backwards.



If they have the space to do so without being flanked, Telrith orders his elementals forward, and moves forward himself, until they are just outside of the darkness.

Bain will use his ability to illuminate the place, he can cover a 2-yard area, he tells his friends to get ready.

(OOC: Oops, sorry, I meant to type there, not Bain. My mistake. But we can simply rule that your post outlines what you WILL do when your turn comes. Speaking of...)

TURN 2

Telrith sees the skeletons and zombies collect themselves.
The 6 skeletons move out of the room and into the corridor, now the front line is just within range of their spears.
The shadow elf hireling keeps Bain by her side. She is bracing for impact.
The 5 zombies, meanwhile, shuffle behind the skeletons. They are now just at the opening of the room, 3 yards from the skeletons.
Bain dramatically illuminates the area. As long as he keeps the light on, the darkness is negated - but it will come back if it gets turned off...

(OOC: Vic the Digger, if you have Reach 2+, you can stop-hit an approaching skeleton.)

LOL, OK.

OOC: Bain activates his ability (that would be his action), but for the free action he readies his bow, he is successful; rolled 12 twice, against SL 14 in both cases.

Vic is ready to destroy the undead with his unmatched STOP/HIT.

Contest, the enemy rolled 11 for his attack skill
Vic rolled 9
rolled 5 for damage, 1d+5-2DR=8, to vitals*3

Vic connects the attack and deals 24 damage to vitals after DR. The enemy is DONE!

(OC: the skeletons don't have vitals. It merely takes 8 injury, but that is enough for a major wound. HT 12 +3 for HPT...success.)

The bone warriors rushed in where Vic dares to tread, and one eats a stab for it without a chance to counterattack right away. Their line formation and forward advance means it can't retreat back or to the side.
The skeleton spearman takes the hit and holds fast...but it is definitely reeling now.

(OOC: Gathika, your turn.)

Oww… Aren’t these the same skeletons? We’ve been killing them like this for long. And injury to vitals do affect living beings. If it’s a new breed that’s ok, but still, we are in the easy cave.

In the original book, it's on page 400, in DFRPG 55 afaik. I thought they were the same ones we've been killing.
