Default parrying in close combat when weapon has reach >=1

I know that MA gives a penalty for using a weapon with reach >=1 in close combat.

But what about parries? Does a reach 1 or 2 weapon have a penalty on parries in close combat?

Calculate Parry from your reduced skill. Thus, a weapon parries
at -2 in close combat if reach 1, -4 if reach 2, or -6 if reach
3. This doesn’t affect parries made as your foe enters close
combat. Likewise, if you’re able to retreat out of close combat,
you get your full Parry plus the usual retreat bonus.

I thought you subtracted your weapons bulk rating from your parry and attack rolls when using a non-"C" class weapon in Close combat ?

Just remember that they have to start their turn in close combat for their to be a penality, just stepping ant attacking you can parry normally.

The only weapons that use bulk in close combat are ranged weapons.

You subtract your weapons Bulk rating from attack rolls when using a ranged weapon in Close Combat. Melee weapons do not have a Bulk rating (although they arguably should).

Sorry, try again. If initiative modifiers what? Bulk doesn't have anything to do with Partial Surprise, AFAICT.
