I've been spending the last few weeks designing armour and what-not. It's been a real blast using Pyramid articles to do these things! Then, today, I went ahead and designed some laser weapons using Pyramid #3/37's Blaster and Laser Design by David Pulver. I'm obsessed now.
Anyway, is there a High-Tech or Ultra-Tech article on how to design a modern or near-modern firearm? I'm trying to make statistics for a few imagined weapons and I'm at a loss on how to go about it. |

Not that I'm aware of, I'm afraid.

Wasn't there a Vehicles (2nd edition?) or something like that which had rules for designing weapons all the way from muscle-powered artillery to slug throwers to lasers and blasters? It scaled down all the way into handgun territory, too.
(Checks.) Yep, Vehicles 2nd Edition by David L. Pulver. Pages 97 and up. Our GM used those formulas to come up with weapons from TL8 to TL 12 in our space opera campaign. Granted, they will have 3rd edition stats, so you will have to convert them to 4th edition, but that shouldn't be too difficult. |

Isn't there a Douglas Cole product that does this? Maybe in Pyramid 3/57?
If not, check out his series of GunDay articles on his website, Gaming Ballistic. Or contact him directly for advice. |

I ended up getting a copy of G3. I'm more than sure this is what I need. Mr Cole's website is quite amazing, though. Finding it was a stroke of good luck - thank you for that, Thrash!
