Trees are Homogenous. Individual blades of grass might be Homogenous too but by the time you've moved on to considering grass by the hex the whole hex might be considered as Diffuse.

Whoops, indeed. Fred was talking about Homogenous targets above, and I accidentally conflated the two terms together.
