Default Immunity to Metallic Hazards

Going through a D&D book of weapons, I found a sword that states "metallic hazards phase harmlessly through the wielder." Now, how would this best be represented as a power in GURPS? I thought about Permeation, but, that specifically does NOT protect against sudden, violent contact.

Insubstantial, switchable.

If you mean pass through the gut, universal consumption.

That works vs all hazards, though. This is more of "swords and bullets phase through just fine, while that rock hurts."

Insubstantial, reflexive, only against metal weapons.

I assume the PC wants the ability to pick up metal swords and bullets, though. The trigger here is violent intent, or perhaps freak accident.

Why specify weapons? A runaway bus isn't a weapon.

A bus is, in fact, a metallic hazard. The key is here being able to wear armor (even if metal armor would be out of place at TL8...), but be unfazed by bullets. Except rubber ones, those will still sting.

Insubstantial, Always On, Limited: Metallic Dangers Only, Affects Substantial, Can Carry Objects, Cosmic. Not sure on the value of Cosmic, but probably +100% or higher.

What's the Cosmic needed for? Just to get around Affects Insubstantial? o.O

I really prefer to do all these sorts of things as limited DR with a special effect (things pass through you rather than bounce off). No this doesn't make you totally immune, something made of metal that does more damage than the level of DR you bought still hurts. I don't regard this as a flaw particularly, since at sufficiently high energy levels regarding the things as the same kind of threat is pretty iffy itself. Is a magic sword really going to protect you if a trillion ton nickel-iron asteroid slams into you at 20 million miles per hour? Probably not.

The meteorite would whiffle through, blasting and super heating the rock and air near you.
Insubstantial: metal only seems the simplest and most accurate translation of OP's concept.
