Default Another size question

So I was reading somewhere that smaller creatures get a -2 to use regular size weapons. Is that listed anywhere? I thought they just had to pick weapons appropriate for their strength which should be lower for their size?

Maybe you are thinking of the Min ST penalty (-1 per point below) or the Improvised Weapons penalty. I don't think you can have just a blanket penalty. Depending on the weapon, the size difference, and the wielder's physiology it can be trivial to wield a larger creature's weapon (a halfling with a human dagger or pocket-pistol) or impossible (a mouse with a 25mm "battle-rifle" built for uplifted elephants).

That's what I thought. I just hate to read something and not be familiar with what they are talking about.

Kromm has discussed on the forums that not having appropriately sized tools incurs the -2 for inappropriate tools on the relevant skills

That's just the improvised tool penalty and only makes sense if you can use the tool at all. You wouldn't get any penalty at all to try to use Galactus's screwdrivers to fix a Liliputian watch as that's clearly just ridiculous.

improved/inappropriate tool, same thing, of course the tool needs to be in the ball park of appropriate, the point though is size can make otherwise perfect tools inappropriate for the the user.

like riding a bike, there are bike sized for you no penalty, bikes that you can make do with, and then then bikes you can't use at all.

The existence of the Huge Weapons perk does imply that weapons can be 'too big'. I don't recall where to find the applicable rules on that.
