Purulu are smarter than humans

The Purulu may make Ebenezer Scrooge look good, but, knowing they have only one planet known capable of supporting their unique biology, they are strict environmentalists on their homeworld.
Now, as we are now in RL, we have no backup planet. But we use our biosphere as an industrial toilet.
Who is smarter?

Uh... okay. I detect a bit of RealPolitik Rant in this. And I had to dig to find that this is a GURPS Classic Aliens species he's talking about.

But the real question is... why bring this up here? This seems intentional flame-bait. o.O

The GURPSwiki looks at them in its Purulu. The one flay with the Purulu mindset is why do they need planets to settle on? Space stations are insanely easy to build as you go past K1 the more a planet is just something your station orbits and that you mine for materials to keep the station functional.

The fact may be that this aliens can dig in a whole library of things what happened to other races planets and why. The 3rd Ed purulu are a race in a multirace universe with contact and knowledge to and from a lot of intelligent being.

Our real world, we are the only intelligent race on earth, we have not had a documented ecological breakdown, like the said climate change and such. And last but not least we are basically the front runners who hold a toe into the wather to see what is happening.

Of course you can also go into the geopolitical, social and other sciences, why we act like we act now. But THIS IS a political thing we could discuss per PM or mail, but not in this forum.

The Purulu have the luxury of outsourcing all of their industry to locations off of their planet thanks to technology we don't have and very likely never will have.
