Allocations: an explanation
Today's Daily Illuminator is a very important post about distribution of the Collectible Card Game. I encourage everyone to read it and ask questions here if you aren't sure about anything.

Re: Allocations: an explanation
All I'm curious about is whether the fact that my Comic Shop (which is where I usually get Munchkin stuff) hadn't ordered any until I told them I wanted starters a week or two back means that they are unlikely to have any for me on Wednesday when the game is officially released.
I'd really like to get the first release for the bonus packs included. Is it safe to assume that if they didn't get copies for the release date that any copies they get later aren't likely to have the packs in them? |

Unknown. It will all depend on their distributor. Without knowing how many the distributor has sold, we don't know what is available there.

Re: Allocations: an explanation
So based on today's Daily Illuminator, I guess if my shop gets me starters BEFORE June, then they would have to be the first release by default.

Any starters bought between now and mid-May are certainly going to include a booster. After that, timing can get weird since we're not yet close enough to have final freight information.

Re: Allocations: an explanation
I'll keep my fingers crossed, but my store was unable to get me any starters on the release date. I hope that doesn't mean I have to wait until June, as I'm suspecting that interest in this household might not last that long with just the one starter we already have. (I know we could most likely order on-line, but I'm not really willing to pay the shipping charges.)
