During the End - How to Save Knowledge Mechanics
For my ongoing campaign, the world will be destroyed preparing the scenery for a Dungeon Fantasy faux-medieval setting.
During the process I want the PCs to be able to hold modern-day knowledge (TL 8), but not in all areas. I thought about giving them some points to distribute around the four tech trees from B511 (Transportation, Weapons and Armor, Power and Biotechnology/Medicine). Something like 3 or 4 points and they can distribute as they see fit. Have anyone done that before? Or something similar? I'm all open for ideas how to do it. |

Re: During the End - How to Save Knowledge Mechanics
I'd recommend a group of NPCs who have realised that knowledge needs preserving, and have created some kind of stronghold to do it. They will need guards, and people they can send out to look for books.
The class SF novel A Canticle for Leibowitz will suggest all sorts of useful details.

Thank you for your replay. I wanted something with more direct control from my players. At least more than do X for NPC Y and hope for Z. But my player ditched that idea, so that's the end of it. 8-( |
