Anoras was partially "stalling for time" to see what the archers would do. But there's also the concern, what if Fireball is faking it?

So Anoras will take Fireball's mask which I'm guessing will take one turn--the same turn while the archers drop their swords. From what Anoras knows of sorcerers (Hidden Lore (Sorcery)), if Fireball was faking it, the sorcerer would not let Anoras take his mask and see his face. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

Assuming I'm not wrong, after taking the mask Anoras will go over and take the archers' swords--unless Cassandra helps with that, in which case we'll share doing that.

Whether Cassandra helps guard the archers or goes right away to fight the skeletons is of course up to Cassandra. (I'm going by the assumption Cassandra would not attack one of Anoras's patients, which right now is Fireball.)

Anoras (speaking in Haunden): "Cassandra, do what you want to do."

If it's OK with the GM, I'd like to save the successful Diagnosis roll for later. If not, I understand.

Cassandra will start immediately slowing limping at move 4 towards the Thad skeleton, giving it a Haunden salute with her sword

"Right! Then I'll see to it before these Venasir can"

Cassandra starts moving towards the giant skeleton and its smaller companion.

Over the next five seconds (so ending at turn 60), she closes the distance from 90 yards from the skeletons to 70 yards from the skeletons. The skeletons move 10 yards to be 50 yards from the main battle.

Anoras takes off Fireball's mask. The scorceor does not resist, but is still breathing, but breathing badly.

Under the mask, Anoras sees a face that looks quite familiar... it reminds her of a family back in the haunden village. Fireballs is maybe 40 years old.

The archers watch her as she takes off the mask.

Cassandra moves to 30 yards from the two skeletons. The skeletons are now 30 yards from the main battle. Its turn 70.



The main battle seems to have all dealt with the skeletons now, and the flanking archers have their bows out ready to start shooting at the oncoming skeletons. The warriors are mostly pulling their wounded away from the battle, or limping away themselves. Two people have been loaded on the horse.

OOC: I like the twist that Anoras proclaims she'll fulfull Fireball's wish to be buried at home--and then soon learns Fireball's home is likely Haunden!

Cassandra is moving towards Thad, who is moving towards the main battle. Most of the wounded have been moved away, and a few soldiers are smashing skeleton remains on the ground or aiming at the standing skeletons coming towards them (30 yards away) Cassandra is 30 yards away from the skeletons as well, she is 60 yards from you.

The skeleton doesn't respond at all.



It takes four rounds to draw, nock, aim, and fire at Thad.

Range (-7) + 3 (acc) = -4. Only one archer hits, but its a critical hit! ... but no special effect. Its a solid hit, with 3 damage penetrating armor.

Thad's skeleton is down 18HP.


Its 22 yards from the archers, as is its ally.

Sure. I just posted a reminder to myself in the other Haunden thread.

Anoras (speaking in Venasir to the two archers): "I needed to see Fireball's face to identify him for his final wish for burial. But in respect of his wish for privacy, I will recover his face. Only, with the possibility of birdpaux, I will need to use something more medical than his mask. Let's see...ah, this will work."

Anoras will "respectfully" cover his face with a cloth (which just happens to be something that will interfere with his already labored breathing....) Again, Anoras is primarily a naturalist/healer and wouldn't want to do this to a regular person. But she considers these rebel sorcerers to be evil beings who are a threat against both Haunden and Holidor.
