They don't, as it's specifically an uncontrollable side effect of your attacks. I'd further be sketchy on a template that doesn't encourage the player to use those qualifying attacks - a TL 12^ super-soldier who fights in power armor with energy weapons? His human-style crushing bite being infectious definitely isn't worth -5 points.

Well, having a bad body odor for -5 is less of a big deal if you can mask it with power armor too. Ugliness would also be masked by face plate.

*shocks the thread a few times with 1.21 Gigawatts* (IT IS ALIVE!!!)

In several representations of this disad in media (True Blood, VtM for example), the vampire has to blood drain the victim and then feed them vampire blood.

And (in True Blood at least) the sire doesn't have control over the new vampire so Dominance doesn't work either. It would have to be something in between.

This makes this not a disad and a completely controllable way to give someone else your template.

How would you model this?

Affliction, with a lot of modifiers for the specific situation/requirements for doing this, and the +300% version of Permanent. If the template is positive/useful enough to mess up the game if it's spammable, cut the advantage cost to 1/5 and charge the PC character points when they use it.

From Template Toolkit 2 - Races: "Carrier: Similar to Dominance and Infectious Attack, but the newly created member of your race is neither a minion nor a possible enemy."

I guess I need to open that book huh?

Thanks! I think this is exactly what I'm looking for.
