Re: [Supers] Effortless Flight
You'll want the "Soaring +10%" Enhancement from Pyramid 3-06 page 8.
Also consider looking at the "Fight while in Flight" article in Pyramid 3-14 page 17. Last edited by NineDaysDead; 02-08-2016 at 02:29 AM. |

Re: [Supers] Effortless Flight
How about Cosmic: No Die Roll Required? As long as your modified skill is 3 or more you automatically succeed. The GM decides what rolls are included, but Aerobatics and Flight would seem natural candidates.

Re: [Supers] Effortless Flight
I don't seem to have that Pyramid but I know I saw it somewhere.

Re: [Supers] Effortless Flight
I'd probably make it a wildcard power. Using it in a very flexible manner to do lots of extra things without extra effort seems like a good way to reflect that someone is fully comfortable with an ability.

Re: [Supers] Effortless Flight
Maybe approach it from the point of view of what your character is able to do as a result of being so good/natural at flying. Seems like this guy would be excellent at:
--dropping stuff on people (Drop skill) --hitting people with any sort of slam or move by attack --flying through a crowd (Evade) --using flight to avoid attacks (enhanced dodge while flying) --carrying stuff/people (lifting strength, only for reduced encumbrance while flying) --using flight to resist knockback --moving and attacking without penalty while flying --using flight to counter any kind of trip or judo throw attack (should the character ever be caught standing --entertaining people with showy flying stunts --making all kinds of maneuvers in combat while doing other things (altered time rate --flight-assisted feints (he can move with absolute unpredictability in all 3 dimensions) Fighting this guy should be like trying to fight a feather. Hard as you swing at it or try to bash it into something, it just floats away. In fact you could justify some kind of DR or damage reduction vs. crushing. If you hit him there's nothing to push against--he just wafts away. Not saying he has to have all of these abilities, depending on conception, but I'd try to think beyond flight-as-movement to what other things he could do in an adventuring setting. |
