The Hurt Locker: Occult Emergency Kits
That's it. You've had enough. Your girlfriend just threw up pea soup on you. She's icier than that time you wanted to fool around in the janitor's closet, and she appears to be speaking in tongues. Which you can't understand because you only speak two languages: English and Bad English - and the first one not so well. So what do you do? She's saying it's a great day for an exorcism...you're Gawd Damn Right it's a great day for an exorcism. Break the glass on that emergency kit, because it's time for a little spiritual warfare and demon-smiting. Son, you're all of bubble gum, but that doesn't mean you can't kick a little butt - with the right tools anyways.

Gamemaster's Guidepost: Playing Child Characters
Kids are great: babies are mobile barf barges, five-year olds constantly ask why, and teenagers make you want to strangle your progeny in their sleep sometimes. Kids are also a great plot hook if done right, whether PC or NPC, a child in danger hits every single instinct in the human brain like nothing else other than personal survival. GURPS already has rules for writing up kid characters, but I explore it a bit more in today's blog post...

Re: Ravens N' Pennies - GURPS Content Posts
I always end up having kids in my campaigns (PC or NPC) because my players seem to adopt them or they stick around. I figured I'd share my work with others. I literally have so much GURPS material I'll never be able to publish it all in my lifetime because I keep writing more. That's not to mention the other game systems I've written stuff for. I've got some dungeons I want to adapt to either OSR, DF, or maybe DnD (that last one is doubtful). If I stopped writing new stuff for Pyramid right now and assuming every article was picked up it would take me 17 years to publish it all. I've been trying to get it more organized, but I was in a dark place for someone of it and it drags me back there when I look at it too much. So I tend to ignore the Vault unless I need something. The problem is I keep writing new material. And since my grandmother died it's just been...pouring out of me. I've written almost 3 million words since her death last year. That's all creative content (blog posts, articles, supplements, campaign material, commissions, etc.) not emails, twitter updates, etc. Having a blog has helped me to get out some of the smaller stuff it...but I still can't toss out the longer stuff I can make money on (yet), I'm just too poor.

My condolences about your grandmother.
I'm sure if someone collected the last 3million words I typed, easily 2/3 would be smartass comments. So good on you for creating something less snarky. :)

Re: Ravens N' Pennies - GURPS Content Posts
Interesting take of child development. People don't progress so predictably and steadily, though I understand why something like that table helps gaming.
My Dexterity reached my present number long before 15 for example. And my strength jumped hard during my true puberty growth spurt at 11, and again during what I call my second puberty at around 18. Stretch marks from rapid muscle growth sitting on my butt nerding out is an odd thing to see.
