Problem with yards
The de-metrification of the rulebook put in yards instead of hexes in two cases that can cause some confusion. (The other cases are bad, but not this bad.)
ITL 113: Lasso ranges go back and forth between yards and hexes. ITL 125: Long-Range Missile Fire uses yards in place of the old meters, which shrinks the ranges while adding confusion with map ranges.

Re: Problem with yards
I'd go with yards and round down a bit to 10 hexes, doubting that a lasso can be thrown effectively to 60 feet (20 yards). Heck even 10 hexes is probably too generous.

Re: Problem with yards
Wherever yards or meters are mentioned in the rules, simply substitute for hexes. It’s quite simple.

Re: Problem with yards
I agree this is yet another silly and sort of sloppy detail that should have not been written or, having been written, should have been edited out. But I don't lose a lot of sleep over it since it doesn't really come up in play.

Re: Problem with yards
Or, if you're not just trying to confuse everyone, just read "yards" as (4-foot) hexes.
If you think some measure really means yards, and/or is too long as hexes, then convert (multiply by 3/4). |

Re: Problem with yards
wepon ranges are in hexes or megahexes, so the yards thing on weapon ranges doesn't bother me. It's a hex based game.
