Another shotgun question thread
Ok, so I see that firing pellets at very close range is different from further away. You don't multiply RoF with #pellets, and the dmaage and DR is multiplied på ½#pellets.
So firing full throttle, I suddenly have RoF pelletclusters, acting somewhat like a solid slug. RoF 3 isn't enough to get any to-hit bonus. But do I still use the Rcl of 1 for pellets, or do I use the crushingly high oine for slugs?

If you are talking about the rules on Basic page 409, then the Rcl for slugs can't be relevant since that rule is from High-Tech. I'd say that it uses Rcl 1.

Well, provided one has HT, the Rcl for slugs is more appropriate here. A boomstick-range shotgun blast is basically the same as firing a slug at that range. The pellets don't spread enough for you to get the effectively low Rcl from saturating the area with shot.
