AFAIK a critical success defense becomes a critical failure for the attacker?

The elemental's offensive, on the other hand, is easily avoided.

TURN 4

One Skeleton steps in to fill the space left by its recently destroyed comrade, before stabbing at Telrith with its spear.
The unharmed skeleton tries to skewer Vic with a spear, silently murderous.
The severely damaged skeleton sees an opportunity and tries to counter-attack Sullyfur, stabbing at the elemental.

Telrith blocks the spear thrust towards him with his shield (block 12 vs a roll of 11).

Sullyfur is struck by the spear, but 3 damage lacks the force needed to penetrate his DR.

Sullyfur's weapon "turned in his hand" ... which is weird, because he doesn't have weapons, and his striker basically replaces his hand... but making him take a ready manuever before he can attack again is fine.
