Income tax + Giant Mutant Gerbil Steed
Player A suffers Income Tax, then he discards a 1000 gold items.
Player B dicards all his items for the effect of the curse Player C activates the effect of Giant Mutant Gerbil Steed and with a dice he gets a 6 (dice) so he "disregar" (this is the word used in the card, not cancel) the curse. Question: is the curse effect also ignored by player A and B (that would have happened if this had been written "cancel" instead of "disregard") or only by player C ? Re: Income tax + Giant Mutant Gerbil Steed
The GMG Steed does not say it cancels the curse, only that the one player can disregard it. The post you are linking is about a Wishing Ring which specifically says it "cancels" the curse.

Re: Income tax + Giant Mutant Gerbil Steed

Yes. Here is a 15-year-old topic addressing this issue.
