Sure it's my opinion, but there's a lot more to it than that. I am pointing out a consistant pattern that shows a fault with the underlying assumption that ordinary people are (or can be) built on -50 to 0 points.

The problem is that you then have a sharp dichotomy between the skill levels such people should have at their professional skills, and the amount of study as represented by skill points these people are required to put into it.

Let's use Kathy as an example. It is perfectly reasonable for her to have a "10" in erotic art if she is into that sort of thing. Same with sex appeal. It is NOT reasonable for her (unless she has a really odd background) to have sunk as much effort into that as she has into teaching (her primary vocation).

The culprit is the too low average stats.

You are missing the forest for the trees in what I have said. The 'sex' thing while entertaining is strictly a secondary point as far as I am concerned. It formed a convenient example of the fundamental weaknesses of *ALL* the characters presented thus far. They are too heavy on the skill points to be justifiable as "ordinary people" for the skill levels they have. That is due to stats that are too low for ordinary people.

That's my point.

Since You posted a character I'll answer, but just one last time.
There's nothing in the Kathy character which is innappropriate, she's just a very, very good lay. She's not lecherous, and isn't a nympho, so there's no secret to loose, or are you going to tell me that not having a gag reflex is something to fire someone over?
She's spent more of her free time on her hobby than on being a better teacher, but then again, most people spend more time on their hobbies than in learning to be better at their job.

The only way anyone in the School Board would know that Kathy is exceptionally good in the sack would be by jumping in it with her.
At which point I suppose we'd have to buy her an ally or contact on the School Board, since once laid, who'd want to do her wrong?

Backstory:
Shaan Bhattacharya currently works as a taxi driver in BigCity USA. He came to the states 16 years ago, and has been a US citizen for 9 years.
He's brougth his extended family over from New Delhi and is is doing a good job of supporting them.
He is a very good taxi driver, but beyond that, he always had a nose for business and keeps his ear to the ground. He tries to get clients from the stock exchange, and over the years he's picked up quite a large amount of stock tips and other investment ideas. At this point, he'd never think of retiring, since he's sure someone will let something slip one of these years, and Shaan will really strike it rich.
Shaan likes to play up his Indian accent, but if pretty friendly and usually willing to exchange information.
He strives to maintaing most Hindu restrictions, and has a small statue of Ganesh with insense sticks on his dashboard.
