Yeah. The portcullis will fall down 5 yards behind the chest. It does not have a lock, it's just heavy.

You could disarm the trap, if you're willing to risk it.

I suppose I have implicitly indicated that Telrith has had his shield and axe out since before the trap was disarmed. I will do so explicitly now. And have the elementals all around him. All four of them.
