Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Unless it's time for Tereza to sleep I have not a clue what she should be up to at this point. Things seem to be adequately handled for the moment. At least so long as everything goes according to plan.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Indeed, Tereza is able to rest, or at least sit back as the life support people begin freezing out the threaders. It will take a while so she is able to eat and unwind for a bit. To think that she was naked and alone this morning, and considered a non-citizen. Now she is viewed as the leader who can guide martha and actually organize. Perhaps some of the other leaders will view her as a threat, but its possible she will be able to get the organization of the ship working again. Not that she plans to do that today. Calron shows her a sleeping room, and she drifts off to sleep....
OCC: Wow, that was quite an arc! yes this world is over. I will admit that the amount of time spent in a world Ideally is connected to story concerns: Tereza is going to be sent on her way to a new world.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Tereza dreamed that night of a man who seemed fabulously rich. And who had a fabulously strange habit of switching garb: ancient roman or modern suits, back and forth all night. when in the suit, he spoke on phones and used computers. In his toga, he spoke to servants clad in tunics and walked halls constructed from rough stone, not wallboard. In the dream he switched no less than four times, back and forth. with a servant who's sole purpose in life seemed to be changing the man's clothes.
Meanwhile, outside, slaves (of all colors) toiled to clean the streets, and horses pulled carts back and forth. Some chose to ride in litters rather than carriages (though those were there as well). Tereza woke with view of the city walls. at least, she assumed the city was the same as in her dream. She hadn't noticed the nearby ocean, but that's likely because the buildings got in the way. The ships where a mix of ancient and medivial design, though some seemed to have elements she would have called modern. She was in the fields of a large house, and workers were coming out of the building to work. More specifically, she was in a field of some green plant she didn't recognize. It didn't seem to be a form of grain, though obviously a form of grass. The workers didn't seem to be headed immediately for her field... its still quite early morning

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Tereza thinks, Good there are people here. Too bad they seem to practice slavery. Still it could be worse. I hope we share a language. What should I do? Well besides get some clothes and avoid becoming a slave. She will spend a while coming up with a plan. Then she acts.
Tereza will pat any dust she has collected off herself as best she's able. Than she will circle out around the house at a good distance trying to stay out of view until she's on the far side from the ocean so that she can approach the home from inland. If she comes across a road from inland that leads up to the house she'll use that. Once in position she will simply walk up to the home and knock on the door. If approached by anyone that looks like a slave she will give them a dismissive glance and otherwise acting* haughty and self assured. If approached by someone that seems more important she will stop and stare at them until they either speak or back off so that she can continue on to the house. If she makes it to the house she will knock on the door loudly three times and wait for an answer. OOC Acting skill is at 16 not including modifiers. |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Tereza is stopped by a man who seems to be the overseer of the workers.
'Excuse me miss, can I help you?' The man is speaking ... some latin based language shes never heard before-- perhaps the original? but perhaps not. He gives every intention of functioning in a 'gatekeeper' capacity. Tereza is going to need to explain things to him (or act in such a manner that he assumes stuff). Could you give a general modus operandi and story plan: (prearranged meeting - business or alluring, practical prank played and needs help, outraged at something the master has done and determined to speak with him, ect...)

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
Tereza's general modus operandi and story plan is that she is a member of the White Star Trading Company and was part of a caravan a day out inland. They encountered... difficulties and after a night traveling and a short rest earlier this morning this is the first sign of civilization that she found.
What she says to the overseer is, "Yes. I need appropriate clothing, food, and transport to the city. If you do that I would like your name and your master's name so that I can repay your kindness when I am able. Am I understood? I do not speak this language as good as I would like yet." |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
OCC: You may burn your serendipity to not mention white star trading. This will make her life easier. Of course, whoever said easy was interesting?

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
OOC
Heh. Now I'm picturing a sign with the white star symbol Xed out in red with Enemy # 1 written underneath. Because I think it would need to be something major for her to realise not to mention them. So for better or worse she will stick with her story when asked about it. I will add that it would also be serendipitous if this home wasn't anti White Star for whatever reason they have. Right? Edit: this probably won't end well. :) Last edited by Poonbahbah; 03-12-2014 at 12:31 PM. |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Tereza]
OCC: yes it would be, yet that is not the story we are telling. Weirdness magnet is a terrible thing.
Tereza tells her story, modifying it slightly as she realizes this area has a rather unique geography: some sort of strait. When she mentions 'White Star Trading', the man gives a jolt. he recognizes the name, but was not expecting to hear it. He invites Tereza into the house to change. As she approaches the door, she notices the man is being a little less than subtle about staying behind her and ready to snatch her if she should turn back.
