That sounds like the rule I heard about. Do you have a reference or know where it came from? I don't see anything like that in the CWC sections on fire damage or the FE, IFE, or PFE.

It's in the ODQ. That particular entry doesn't give a source.

SPARK already uses the "no internal damage unless breached" part of the CW5 fire rules. Before, incendiary weapons were luck-based instant kills (less/no luck needed with twin high-temp) unless the defender was completely fireproof. Now they're just very good weapons that we still have to account for in our vehicle designs. CW5-style fire rules are one thing I hope they use in CW6.

Agreed, I think the 5e fire rules were easily the best change in that edition, and should be kept.

Counter-versy to that would be agree that an internal fires (e.g. ones started by damage to PPs0 shouldn't affect tires or other external components (EWP's, dischargers etc) until they have burned through from the inside out.

I agree, though if the plant was hit by weapons fire, I'm pretty sure it would spread.
