Re: Stuff I felt should exist....
If I remember correctly, they already had sand ammo for the junk dropper. CPS $10, Loaded in a standard JD. Drops a 1/2" by 1" patch of sand when fired.
I am not sure where that reference came from, though. -John |

Re: Stuff I felt should exist....
Right, I knew that sand was a "standard load" for a junk dropper, just wanted to note that you could load it with gumballs or marbles or something. Poor wording on my part.

Re: Stuff I felt should exist....
Where were the effects of sand laid out?
I am particularly interested in the effect they have on ice and oil (and whether a front mounted junk dropper loaded with sand could be used to make a safe(er) path through them. |

Just out of curiosity, have any of you used any of this gear in your games? And if so, how did it work?

I'm about 99% sure I've seen the "attach rocket boosters to a mechanic's creeper and see what happens" somewhere in print, but I'm also about 99% sure my memory is not what it used to be.
That having been said: I agree with Magesmiley.

Re: Stuff I felt should exist....
New ten-wheeler options:
The Oversized Six-Wheeler If you build a ten wheeler with a Light or Standard chassis, you can build it with six wheels instead of ten. This saves you money on tires, but doesn’t provide any additional cost break beyond that for (potentially) reducing the chassis strength. It also permits you to improve the suspension, treating it as a van or pickup over 5500 pounds. (HC 0 for light, HC 1 for improved, HC 2 for heavy.) Oversized six-wheelers have the same armor cost and weight as their ten wheeled counterparts, and use the same power plants or gas engines; they can also use a car’s power plant or gas engine with a Heavy Duty Transmission (but can’t use either of those without HDT). This option is not available for tractors. A character with Driver but no Trucker skill can drive an oversized six-wheeler at an HC penalty of -1, reduced to no penalty after eight hours of driving. The Pickup Carrier Ten wheelers (and oversized six wheelers) can mount the 15’ pickup carrier; this effectively turns the vehicle into an oversized pickup truck. The 15’ pickup carrier costs $1,700, weighs 950 lbs, and holds 10 (+20) spaces. (10 spaces are added to the cab, and may be used for crew, weapons, and other components, the other 20 spaces are for cargo.) There is no oversized camper; that would be the 15’ van carrier. The pickup carrier has no top armor (and cannot mount a turret), but does have its own back, sides, and underbody armor. It has no need for front armor; its back armor does not protect the cab. A turret on the cab can fire into the rear arc with a pickup carrier. The ten-wheeled (and oversized six-wheeled) pickup can use all tow truck hardware as detailed in Autoduel Quarter 3/3.

Re: Stuff I felt should exist....
Interesting -- I'm still looking up weights for the Pickup Bed 5th-Wheel (allows trailers to be towed by Pickups in the same manner as semis).
