(IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]

some would say its the exact same terrain that he's been in for the last few weeks, but others would say all suburbs look the same. Peter enjoys the variation, the wind in his hair, and he's no stranger to entertaining himself. It still takes a few hours to get to the other camp.

He's welcomed by someone who seems to be at the top of the 'food chain' here. "Mr. Nichols, I'm glad to see you. How was the trip?"

After hearing Peter's response

"I'm sorry about this, but you are hear by under arrest for conspiracy and as a threat to the security of homeline. I would read off miranda rights, but they don't exactly apply here."

"Ah, I should have known this was a trap... you're good Olivia! I guess that's my cue!"

Peter bolts off into the woods "Goliath! Come!" He yells as he runs away.

((OOC: Maybe this should be "Lost in the Wilderness" rather than Lost in Dreams... It seems Peter spends most of his time wandering aimlessly in the forest. ))

They seem to have been expecting this. One guy reaches for Peter, but he pulls away. Some sort of shot is fired. Both Peter and Goliath are running towards the woods. There is another little puff of a shot. Peter gets a look at where the projectile lands -- its a hyperdermic dart. They've made it past most of the people. One guy seems to be faster than the others -- and than Peter. He's gaining. An engine coughs, turning over. Peter glances back and can't see the guy with the dart gun -- which is probably a good thing.

Peter tries to maintain the pace and disappear into the brush... if the fast pursuer closes the distance, Peter plans to drop into a low squat abruptly at the last moment, hopefully causing the guy after him to trip over Peter's body, at which point he'll take off again as fast as he can. (A tactic that worked quite well for me as a kid!)

Peter certainly doesn't have the speed to outpace the guy on foot. He tries his dodge trick. It doesn't work so well. The man is paying attention, and as Peter drops, the man drops as well and bowls him over. Goliath, who was not expecting the trick, turns around as both of them start to get up, and attacks the man. Peter runs and Goliath is bounding back towards him when he feels a sharp pain in his stomache. They hit him with the dart! He isn't feeling woozy yet. Or at least not so woozy that he can't keep running...

Peter pulls out the dart as he continues his mad dash for freedom!

It hurts, but Peter is pumped up with adrenaline. He continues running. Goliath is now running around him, making sure no one tries to tackling again. The vehicles are started up, and following him, but they don't seem to be getting close enough to do anything but follow him.

His steps become heavier. Blood thumps in his ears. It appears that the dart worked.

Next thing he knows he's on a cot. The woman who drove him here is watching him, and he has a handcuff around one wrist. He's not sure where goliath is.

"Why are you doing this Olivia? Where is Goliath?"

The woman just stares at Peter with a poker face.

Peter examines his bonds more closely... what is he handcuffed to? His eyes search the area for other means of escape.

"I never did anything to hurt anyone! Why am I such a threat?!?" he pleads.
