I figured on a spate of burglaries, yeah. 😀

If anyplace still used steam tunnels, perhaps a college founded in the late 19th century, the Nova-coons might break in to the tunnels both for shelter and access to materials on and around the campus. Just being able to pilfer from the cafeteria would be a major advantage.

The campaign could certainly go a bunch of different directions.
That's why I kinda liked the premise.

Re: Let's identify niches! Places to start Transhuman Space Campaigns
I suggested the idea on my "Science Fiction settings" thread of there being a town that's a cross between Las Vegas and Orlando near the Face on Mars . The town of Bradbury would be a hard boiled detective setting.
The PCs would be dealing with the gray gritty back alleys of a town that sells dreams.

Re: Let's identify niches! Places to start Transhuman Space Campaigns
It seems to me that a troop of preformers would make good PCs in a Transhuman Space Campaign focused on interplanetary travel. The PCs would need the Entertainment! Bang skill. That way they could be actors, singers, instrumentalists, acrobats, dancers, and several other types of performers at once. Each voyage could be its own campaign with the PCs facing different challenges.
As the entertainment, the PCs could travel multiple routes around the solar system and get into trouble everywhere from Mercury to the Oort Cloud. By the way, running a non humanoid bioshell would be an entertainment skill. Lions and elephants won't be allowed in show business, but being able to be a fun and/or convincing animal in a bioshell will be.

A naval campaign focused on protocol and social manipulation in a diplomatic setting could be interesting. But only with the right group.

Re: Let's identify niches! Places to start Transhuman Space Campaigns
It occurs to me that Bubble Gum Pop is a very sneaky vector for Memetic manipulation. Who even notices the lyrics even when you're singing them?
Bubble Gum Pop inhabits an area of show business which is weirdly heightened both in it's cutthroat and phoney qualities. Then toss in terrorists with memetic bombs in their chirpy little tunes. I could see a group of young teen PCs trying to navigate agents, handsy producers, stage-stuck parents, unstable rivals, and terrorists (although the terrorists might seem redundant).
