[Enhanced Sense] 360 Targeting with Discriminatory Smell
I reread Powers: Enhanced Senses, and I have no idea how to cost this effect:
I want a werewolf that can use his super-keen sense of smell to allow him to defend against hand-to-hand attacks coming from outside his field of vision. Discriminatory Smell is a short-ranged, discriminatory sense (Enhanced Sense p 6). It can be used a as replacement for vision (Enhanced Sense p 6), but I can't figure out it's arc nor how I would increase the arc. Can anyone explain how to fairly cost the effect I want?

Re: [Enhanced Sense] 360 Targeting with Discriminatory Smell
Sounds like the "360 degree Vision" Advantage, with minor Limitations.
1. No penalty to defend attacks from side or rear. 2. Can Attack to sides and rear at -2. 3. +5 to detect Shadowing. 4. Never surprised by attacks from behind, unless they are concealed. So effect 1, 2 as stated. 3 could be limited to "scent range" whatever that is. 4. could be limited to melee attacks only. I think something like -10% for [22] and you have what you need. Re: [Enhanced Sense] 360 Targeting with Discriminatory Smell
It has the effects of 360 Degree Vision, but only for things that have scent and with scent's usual short range acuity drop-off of 1/hex instead of visions drop-off based on SSR table.
But maybe simply using 360 Degree Vision as a base is the fairest way to go.
