Escrima would be an excellent art for speedsters -- sticks don't get stuck.

Don't we have a shortage of limbs after a bit?

The limb limit would be per effective second; so with ATR 1 and EA 1, you could punch four times in a turn, left-right once, and then left-right with the additional second from ATR.
Or you could take the enhancement that allows multiple attacks with the same limb. Don't have my books to hand. |

In high point value campaigns, a level of Extra Attack works well as a "sweetener" for when you have multiple Levels of altered time rate. Especially with the Multi-Strike enhancement, which removes that pesky limb rule.

depending on how fast you go and how big you are, if your velocity can take you in the 4d+ damage range for thrusting, simply get a pair of brass knuckles and karate or boxing to get your +2 modifier per die and enjoy some heft move and attack maneuvers using slam dice instead of thrusting dmg.
That +8 to damage will easily match what you can do with a weapon and the points saved on Weapon Master to duplicate it can go into Extra Attack or, a favourite of mine for speed-agility freaks: Trained by a master! It's a great fit really. Cinematic skills like Power blow, breaking blow, light walk, push and flying leap as well as reduced penalties for rapid strikes and parries are natural extentions of super speed. Invisibility art is stealth by speed. Take pressure secrets and that 4d+8 becomes impaling. ouch! Also, You'll want to look at Martial Arts to develop special Move and Attack techniques for speedsters. I went for a speedninja character in a supers game once, 500, up to 150 in disdads. Super-agile and quick and with the ability to harness that into bursts of superspeed (limited time in ATR, power blow, flying leap), 'entering bullet time' (of course, the enhanced time sense options from gun fu & martial arts was very appropriate for this character). I've uploaded the pdf (google docs)if you want some inspiration. Style was shaolin kungfu. mostly for stylistic reasons though. Last edited by B9anders; 01-06-2010 at 12:32 PM. |

I thought that, considering their names and the genre they were supposed to represent (martial arts films), that they were natural extensions of chi/inner strength.
Unless you have to then stay in a certain area and fight. |
