It only needs to be strong enough to draw the weight of the web toward the victim.

A good point, and spider webs are remarkably strong by weight, so something light enough to be pulled into the character by the charge differential may still be able to bind them - at least for long enough for the spider to pounce and properly wrap them up. If the differential is high enough, maybe the electrical discharge on contact could actually stun the victim momentarily, buying the spider more time to arrive.

Well. Okay, then.

The Secret Service commissioned a set of special cases for their Thompson guns, and Forgotten Weapons has inside and outside photos https://www.forgottenweapons.com/tho...ecret-service/ What other special equipment did they commission?

Several novels inspired by it. Like The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek. There is also a post apocalypse Upright Women Wanted about women traveling librarians in a neo-western.

Which could also make a fun campaign

I called this a while back -- AI versions of deceased relatives based on datamining.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/healt...ligence-grief/

And for gamers -- you'll never have to miss your old gaming buddies. Just boot the AI version, load some random Monty Python quotes, and you're off to the races....

This could have more ominous potential for SF settings.
