Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
Mellisa lays on the cloak for a long time. Her legs get cramped, and her mind wanders. She sleeps for a bit, but wakes up long before dark. If they are in fact coming to get her before dark.

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
Just how stupid would it be to peek out?
Potentially very stupid, anyway I don't want to be a bother. I try to sit and lay quietly in different positions as the hours pass and I keep myself occupied by going over complex math problems and history textbooks in my head. |

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
Mellisa has to focus to keep herself from peeking out. The math is difficult because she doesn't have paper to keep track of her thoughts, but reviewing history is ideal for the purpose. She breaks focus a couple of times, but manages not to go crazy.
Eventually, the man (Kemmel) comes and opens up the door. The sun is still shining, although its kind of low. The villiage is still empty. "And now we can meet and talk. We got you some clothes." He tosses them down the hole, careful not to look. The clothes are much more ragged and dirty than the cloak, but what can you expect in a village like this. Its a pair of trousers and a blouse. fastened with buttons.

"Thank you!"
I shake out and put on the clothes, then I carefully pick up and fold the cloak, then I climb out of the hole (with Kemmel's help?). |

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
Kemmel helps her out, then leads her back into the forest. Laura joins them, and the villagers start coming back. They look tired, and are quite dirty. Except for the ones who are wet, which is actually quite a lot of them.
Laura: "So how did you get up the tree? what happened?"

"I went to bed in my home and when I woke up I was here. And naked. I was trying to get my bearings when that troll popped up and came at me. I climbed up that tree to get away from him and a few hours later you found me."

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
The two of them looked at each other, then back at Mellisa
Laura: "Did anyone have a reason to get rid of you in your old home? It sounds as though you were drugged and deposited here. But if so, why wouldn't they just kill you?"

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
Do I have any enemies? A school prank? No...something to do with my security clearance? But what kind of spy kidnaps a lab assistant? And what would that make all of this? Some kind of hypnosis? I don't think thats how it works...
"I don't...or didn't think I have any enemies..." If I'm really in Wales that would put about 8 hours ahead...night to night - 8...~16 hours of travel, that would be about right... This is NOT the Wales I would expect to find though! "The only thing I can think of is someone trying to- It's probably not important... I really hate to be a bother but I've got nothing...can have a drink? Water, or whatever it's safe to drink around here?" |

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
"Then it was likely your master's enemies."
"Yes, we can get you some water." They go to a small stream (not the one the bridge crossed) and Mellisa can drink from there. After she is done, Laura asks: "You mentioned an idea. Every little bit helps."

Re: Lost in Dreams [Mellisa]
"Thank you!"
"Oh yeah, I was going to say maybe someone kidnaped me to try and get information on my research. But why dump me here? Anyway I didn't think my research was that important..." Might as well tell them about the time travel hypothesis. I mean they seem to know some things about anachronistic technology. "Something else odd is going on though; this is not like the Wales I have read about." |
