Extra Training

This FAQ says:
"Extra Training lets you have another training card, but – unlike Super Munchkin – when you lose that extra training, you do not have a chance to replace it and keep the Extra Training card. You lose the training and the card goes with it. Also, you can play Extra Training without a Training to go with it."

So, while Super Munchkin can't be played without a Class card but you can immediately replace a lost Class to keep it,
Extra Training can be played without a Training card, and stay in play so (or with a single Training card in play), but if you have also a second Training in play, when you lose it, you also lose Extra Training?

This seems very odd to me.
