That wasn't where she was going, but I can see about giving her a power ring.

Well, I wasn't, that's just where it ended up.

I started wanting to do something with the mechadragon (which is an old model with old textures). I didn't like a lot of the textures I was applying to it, so I went with the worn/rusted painted-metal. Then I didn't like the girl I had with it so I cycled through a few. Then one of them wound up with white hair, and I figured if they were going to have white hair, they should be a Drow. Then . . . yeah. It just sorta took on a life of its own and that's what I wound up with. I thought it looked neat, so figured I'd share.

My sister pinged me this morning saying the dragon's eyes should be glowing so, I had to do some modification (because it couldn't actually be that easy, the old model has very few, individual material zones) and made Sexy-Drow Mecha-Dragon-Rider take 2.

ShenaniGURPS:

A Beholder vs Robot Utahraptors with Force Fields.

Because sometimes the right answer is robot dinosaurs!

If there is a problem that cannot be solved by robot dinosaurs, you're not using enough robot dinosuars!

ETA
After some thinking and work, I decided I like these shields better.

I can't help but imagine the one in the lower left stating the grievances they have against the beholder; at the time of the screenshot, he/she is clearly stating "And another thing..."

It's more Grandfather from Jackie Chan Adventures: "One moar thing!"

And, I got some feedback about how other people liked the big, City of Heroes-style bubbles around them, and didn't like the skin tight shields, so I made a modified picture. Oh, and added another D9-0KS in the back.

Getting Prepped.

Going to see about running a GURPS one-shot to bring some new people into the game on 6/30. If all goes well. Figured I'd have Chaos and Bobb come to help wrangle, and that means Seven Shadow, Magnus Magnussen and everybody's favorite NPC, Fireball.

Was working on a Gen8F version for my old character Anastasia.

This came out of it.

Man, I need to get a 3090 . . ..

Do you rent time on it or batch it up for execution or how do you get it on the 3090?

I just write boring COBOL stuff but am excited to know that IBM's Big Iron can be used for this to!

Well, I'm talking RTX 3090 from Nvidia. The graphics card. 24gb of GDDR6 and those 10k juicy CUDA cores.

AMD cards just don't work well for rendering. And, now that I've moved to Nvidia's iRay, it only makes sense.

When crypto took a dip, I was thinking there would be more availability of these cards (I'm assuming most of the stock is ultimately ending up in the machines of crypto miners), but apparently I was mistaken. I know for a while a few companies were selling premade machines that included 30-series cards at roughly MSRP, but I think that's largely stopped as well. Hopefully you'll be able to get one soon-ish (and without paying scalper prices), but don't hold your breath.
