Hopefully LokRobsterr and either of my other two brothers-in-law (Kidnomicon I know has posted on here) will post pics of their cars and what they've done. They taught me how to pimp a Hot Wheel, all I contributed was the Airbrush technique and Future glosscoat. Before them, all I ever painted was figures (28mm or 15mm napoleonics)

Thanks once again, I am going to try and scrounge together a tool kit (when I get the money as cheaply as possible)

An airbrush is a pain though as I used to have one but swapped it to a friend as I never really had a use for it, now I do, darn

I even had the compressor, sheesh

Awesome tutorial and love the pics.

I would really stress going with styrene for durability. Cardstock will work but probably won't hold up to repeated use/storage.

Very well done. I hadn't thought of using Mechs for Car Wars weapons. Inspired!

Great write up.

I ended up getting a air brush just for this reason. I tried multiple methods of painting cars with a regular brush and the out come was very inconsistant. I wanted that new car sheen and only with a air bursh was able to get it.

Excellent, thanks! I went on a feeding frenzy on ebay a while back buying several large lots of mechwarrior clix. The project I had planned for them did not come to light, but now I can dig through them and start hacking off their weapons to stick on hot wheels!
